This week we had a little last minute scramble for a meeting place as the Pan is under renovation, luckily the Dubh Linn Gate helped us out again. We had a couple of visitors; Karmel, who has joined us in meetings before and Bea Gonzales who was also our guest speaker.
Bea let us know about the Whistler Youth Band, Bea is mother to one of the members of the band. Bea let us know about the formation of the band and a bit of it’s history. Several members were surprised to learn of the band existence, hopefully the word will get out more now. Our club made a donation $241.00 to assist the band. Long story why such an uneven number and I’m not going to type that much, if you are curious, come to meetings!
